Right from the day of its establishment on March 5, 1973 the Department has endeavored to shape the future of student through quality teaching and research. The Department aims to preserve the Indian culture and ethics by disseminating the knowledge of Sanskrit language among the youth. Several research works have been carried out by the faculty and scholars to demystify the language and to establish its connection with the contemporary language.
